Joseph Chilton Pearce said, "To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong."
Now I don't know about you, but I am wrong a lot. I think it's the law of human averages. We must be wrong enough to want to discover our right. But being wrong always leaves me feeling bad. Bad in the sense of I'm not good enough, I'm a little on the stupid side, and I maybe should go hide under my covers - under my bed.
I love how Pearce has changed my mind in one quote (hello power of the written word).
I am living my creative life. I'm letting go of who I am, in order to become who I might be. It's a scary process, as well as a rejuvenating one. I thought I'd share a creative world I've recently fallen into - one that's not perfect, or complete, or necessarily right. It's a new outlet, and I had to let go of being able to do it right, to do it at all.
I'm so happy I did. I hope you'll let a fear go, so you may open a new creative door. You never know what's waiting for you on the other side until you do.
